13. Baltimore Ravens – (7-6) Offensive ineptitude, especially up front, cost the Ravens not only the game against the Patriots Monday night, but knocked them completely out of the NFL playoff bracket. They have some work to do to get back in it. Last week: 13
14. Green Bay Packers – (7-6) Suddenly the Packers look dangerous, but that has a lot to do with two specific things. First, Aaron Rodgers is still their QB and, second, they were playing at home. They won’t get that chance in the playoffs if the make it. Last week: 15
15. Washington Redskins – (7-5-1) The dream remains alive for the Redskins as they sit right outside the NFL playoff rankings. The Panthers may end it Monay night. Last week: 14
16. Tennessee Titans – (7-6) Mike Mularkey is coaching a team in December with a winning record. Let that sink in. Imagine what this Titans team could do with a real coach. Last week: 19
17. Houston Texans – (7-6) The Texans benefited by probably the dumbest fourth-down call since the last time the Colts decided to go for it. Now they’re back in the playoff bracket. For a week. Last week: 20
18. Minnesota Vikings – (7-6) Adrian Peterson is practicing this week and will be evaluated week-to-week when he can return. Good news for a team one game out of the playoff race with three games to go. Last week: 21
19. Philadelphia Eagles – (5-8) The Eagles are just playing out the season at this point, but progress was made. Philadelphia has its coach and its quarterback and that makes the future awful bright. Last week: 16
20. Buffalo Bills – (6-7) No one would be shocked if Rex Ryan is the second coach fired this season. It would be some sweet justice of the Browns pick up their first win sending Ryan to the unemployment line. Last week: 17
21. Indianapolis Colts – (6-7) With that horrible screen call Chuck Pagano ended any hope for the Colts making the playoffs and any justification for them keeping him on as their head coach. Last week: 18
22. Arizona Cardinals – (5-7-1) Of all the worthless games on tap for this weekend, the Cardinals – Saints has the potential to be the most fun to watch. None of us will be watching it, but, still. Last week: 22
23. Carolina Panthers – (5-8) All the Panthers can do now is spoil the season for other teams. Victim No. 1? The Redskins on Monday night. Last week: 23
24. New Orleans Saints – (5-8) Let me congratulate you way ahead of time for locking in next year’s HBO’s Hard Knocks. The threat has been hanging over your head all season and yet here we are. Last week: 24
25. Cincinnati Bengals – (5-7-1) Marvin Lewis won’t be fired during the season like Jeff Fisher or (probably) Rex Ryan. But he’s a safe bet to be coaching somewhere else next season. Hell, it might be Buffalo. Last week: 25
26. San Diego Chargers – (5-8) Speaking of fired coaches, my Bold Prediction in the preseason that Mike McCoy would NOT be the first coach fired has proven true. I’m looking at a solid 4-1 on those Bold Predictions, my best result in history, so thanks, Mike! Last week: 26
27. New York Jets – (4-9) Bryce Petty got his first career win in a comeback over the 49ers Sunday. I would say that bodes well for the future, but, you know, it was the 49ers. It can’t be that exciting. Last week: 28
28. Chicago Bears – (3-10) The Bears have a full on rebuild in store in 2017. The only question is if they’ll let John Fox run it. Last week: 27
29. Los Angeles Rams – (4-9) Now that Jeff Fisher has been jettisoned from the facility, it’s safe to root for a Rams victory again. It won’t happen, but these losses will sure as hell be more fun. Last week: 29
30. Jacksonville Jaguars – (2-11) That Gus Bradley has made it this long without getting fired proves that owner Shad Khan is a saint or he’s doing a phantom season tank job for draft picks, which is, frankly, genius. Last week: 30
31. San Francisco 49ers – (1-12) Colin Kaepernick is a few games away from being the 2017 CFL MVP. Last week: 31
32. Cleveland Browns – (0-13) Bills defensive tackle Marcell Dareus has guaranteed a win over the Browns this week. I don’t know when I’ve felt so good about their chances. I’m still not picking them. Last week: 32
