Both the Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys began the preseason with close games as the Bengals beat Chicago, 30-27, while the Cowboys lost to San Francisco, 24-21.
As Week 2 rolls around, we’ll see a little bit more of the starters, but not a lot. Week 3 is typically when the starters get the majority of their reps.
Instead of a couple series or two for Andy Dalton and Dak Prescott, we’ll probably see closer to a quarter this time around.
Cincinnati Bengals +3, 37.5
Dallas Cowboys -3, 37.5
Total (O/U): 41
Cincinnati Bengals
Andy Dalton saw a lot of playing time — considering it was Week 1 of the preseason — in the win over the Bears. The quarterback went 6-of-8 passing for 103 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
Tra Carson had six carries for 24 yards and Giovanni Bernard and four carries for 23 yards. Clayton Fejedelum also put something on the highlight reels with a big 49-yard dash of his own.
Receiving, AJ Green had two receptions for 48 yards ,while Josh Malone three receptions for 41 yards.
Dallas Cowboys
Prescott played one series for the Cowboys and it really couldn’t have gone better as he went 3-for-3 for 39 yards and a touchdown.
Backup quarterback Cooper Rush played for the majority of the game and went 15-of-23 for 145 yards and a touchdown. Rush, a second year player out of Central Michigan, dominated during the preseason last year and forced the Cowboys to move on from Kellen Moore.
Alabama rookie running back Bo Scarbrough made his debut with 33 yards on nine carries and a touchdown, while also catching two passes for 19 yards.
The wide receiver position is in transition for Dallas. With Dez Bryant out and Jason Witten in the Monday Night Football booth, the Cowboys are looking for a new group of targets. Marchie Murdock caught two passes for 36 yards, while Michael Gallup caught a nice 30-yard touchdown pass in the loss.
New weapon Tevon Austin caught caught two passes for 25 yards.

The Pick
Not only will Dallas have the likes of Prescott, and perhaps a little Ezekiel Elliott at running back, but they have an All-Preseason caliber quarterback in Rush to go the rest of the way, as well as talented wideouts looking to prove their worth.
The Cowboys have more to prove here and that’s what the preseason comes down to — who has the more talented and determined backups. Not only do the Cowboys have more to prove, but they have better depth at the quarterback position so the points should be coming throughout the game. Cowboys 30, Bengals 24. Take the over as well.
