Here is your Saturday Fantasy Six with two bonus sleepers.
Left Wing – Max Pacioretty – Montreal Canadiens
Montreal will host the Florida Panthers at 7 p.m. ET. Pacioretty leads the Canadiens with 35 goals but has tailed off with just one goal in his last five games. Look for Pacioretty and the Habs to make the big effort after a tough end to their recent road trip.
Center – Ryan Getzlaf – Anaheim Ducks
The Ducks are tied with Montreal for the top record in the NHL. Anaheim will face a New York Islanders team that is free fall with just three wins in their last ten games as their lack of defensive depth and quality goaltending is catching up with them. Getzlaf is the Ducks leading scorer with 24 goals and 44 assists with a plus-14. Faceoff is at 1 p.m. ET.
Right Wing – Vladimir Tarasenko – St. Louis Blues
Tarasenko his having a breakout season with a team high 35 goals to also go with 35 assists and an insane plus-29. Tarasenko has tailed off with just one goal and two assists in his last five games with a plus-three. Expect him to explode against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Faceoff at Scottrade Center is set for 8 p.m. ET.
Defenseman – Kris Letang – Pittsburgh Penguins
The Penguins will host the Arizona Coyotes at 1 p.m. ET. We will pick on the Coyotes team that is among the worst in the league and near the bottom of the NHL rankings for both offense and defense. Letang has 11 goals, 43 assists with a plus-12. Letang has tailed off recently with just one goal and one assist in his last five games with a minus-one. Expect a big rebound.
Defenseman – Kevin Shattenkirk – St. Louis Blues
Again we pick on the Blue Jackets with Shattenkirk, who has eight goals, 32 assists and a plus-18. Shattenkirk has slumped recently with one goal, two assists and a minus-one. We expect a rebound here.
Goalie – Brian Elliott – St. Louis Blues
Elliott is enjoying an All Star season in which he has a .921 save percentage with five shutouts. After a brief dip he has picked it back up with a .934 save percentage in his last five games with two shutouts.
Sleeper – Beau Bennett – Pittsburgh Penguins
Bennett has been in a terrible slump but a game against Arizona is a great opportunity to break out. Bennett has no goals and just one assist this month with a minus-three. Expect a turnaround against the Yotes.
Sleeper – Ryan Reaves – St. Louis Blues
Again we pick on Columbus. Reaves has just one goal and two assists with a plus-two this month in 12 games and can breakout against the Jackets.
