NHL Picks: A busy Saturday of NHL action includes the Montreal Canadiens hosting the Colorado Avalanche. It has been a solid start to the season for the Canadiens as they won three of their first four games. The same cannot be said for the Avalanche who had dropped two of their first three contests. The Avalanche has more than held their own in this series, winning six of the last ten. The teams split two meetings last season with each team winning at home. The Avalanche won 4-1 while the Canadiens won 6-3. Colorado has won two of the last three in Montreal and four of the last five in the series at Montreal have gone over. Both teams are capable of scoring at least three goals each in this contest so we’ll go with the trends on the total and take this game over.
