Here is your fantasy six weekend lineup in the NHL.
Center – Derick Brassard – New York Rangers
Deric Brassard of the New York Rangers has become an assist machine with 38 helpers to go with 14 goals on the season. Brassard has cooled off recently with just one goal and three assists in eight games for the month of March which makes him a value pick. The Broadway Blueshirts are at the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and host the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday night with coverage on NBCSN at 7:30 PM ET.
Left wing – Daniel Sedin – Vancouver Canucks
The Vancouver Canucks are at the Arizona Coyotes on Sunday night and should dominate a Yotes team that has been blown up for the summer draft. Daniel Sedin is the Canucks leading scorer with 15 goals and 46 assists with just one goal and two assists in his last five games. Sedin should break out on Sunday.
Right wing – Radim Vrbata – Vancouver Canucks
Radim Vrbata has cooled off with just one goal in his last five games but should break out Sunday night against the Arizona Coyotes. Vrbata has 26 goals and 23 assists on the season.
Defenseman – Niklas Kronwall – Detroit Red Wings
The Detroit Red Wings will host the St. Louis Blues on Sunday afternoon with a telecast on NBC at noon ET. Niklas Kronwall has eight goals and 31 assists on the season with a plus-31. With just one assist and a minus-six in his last five games and with Detroit coming off a 3-1 loss at Tampa Bay on Friday night the 34 year old rearguard rates a solid value pick.
Defenseman – James Wisniewski – Anaheim Ducks
James Wisniewski has two assists in his last three games while averaging over 20 minutes of time on ice in that span. The acquisition from the Columbus Blue Jackets at the trade deadline has plenty of upside and is a solid choice for the Ducks Sunday night game at the New York Rangers. Wiz figures to get plenty of power play time and has plenty of quality mates on the man advantage unit.
Goaltender – Ben Bishop-Tampa Bay Lightning
The Bolts will be coming off a satisfying Friday night win over the Detroit Red Wings and a day off as they host the Boston Bruins on Sunday night at 5 PM ET. The aging Boston Bruins will be coming off a tough and high stakes game at the Florida Panthers the night before. The Bruins have struggled to score goals and lack quality depth. Tampa Bay goaltender Ben Bishop figures to be in a perfect spot for this one and has the hot hand with a .950 save percentage in his last five games.
