Niagara Purple Eagles at Fairfield Stags Betting Prediction

The Purple Eagles will be hoping for a similar outcome after defeating the St. Bonaventure Bonnies in their last game, 80-72. The Purple Eagles had a much better free throw rate (0.306 vs. 0.029) and had a better turnover percentage (14.1 vs. 17.8). Niagara received a boost from Marvin Prochet, who was the team’s leading scorer with 20 points on 6-for-9 shooting.

In the Stags’ previous game, they got blown out by the No. 24 Purdue Boilermakers, 90-57. One of Purdue’s largest strengths was their ability to convert at the free throw line. They were 12-15 (80.0 percent), while the Stags were just 5-9 (55.6 percent). Fairfield’s Jonathan Kasibabu put up 14 points in the game.

After the Stags won two out of three contests against the Purple Eagles last season, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. In the last game, Fairfield won 90-77. Fairfield launched 24 three pointers, making 12 of them (50.0 percent). Niagara was, meanwhile, 5-18 (27.8 percent).

Neftali Alvarez and Landon Taliaferro have played at a high level over the last five games for Fairfield. Alvarez has averaged 0 points per game. Not to be outdone, Taliaferro has put up 0 points a game during that span.

Getting to the line could be hard to find for Fairfield in this meeting. The Stags rank 324th in the nation with a free throw attempt (FTA) rate of 0.176, while Niagara ranks 15th in FTA rate allowed (0.163).
