North Dakota State Bison vs. Omaha Mavericks Betting Prediction

The Bison are trying to rebound after their 73-56 loss to the New Mexico State Aggies in their last matchup. New Mexico State’s rebounding was their largest strength. The Aggies had more offensive rebounds (15 vs. five), defensive rebounds (32 vs. 26) and total rebounds (47 vs. 31). Rocky Kreuser was the game’s high scorer with 23 points on 9-for-11 shooting.

In the Mavericks’ last matchup, they got blown out by the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 104-76. Minnesota won the rebounding battle. The Golden Gophers had 12 offensive rebounds and 41 total rebounds, while the Mavericks had six and 21, respectively. With 21 points on 6-for-11 shooting, Zach Jackson was the top scorer from either team.

After the Bison won both games against the Mavericks last season, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. In the last matchup, North Dakota State won 84-62. North Dakota State was lights out from beyond the arc (13-27; 48.1 percent). Omaha, meanwhile, did a fantastic job of converting from the free throw line (13-15; 86.7 percent).

Jackson has averaged 0 points over the last five games for Omaha.

The sweet-shooting offense of Omaha will clash against the porous defense of North Dakota State. The Mavericks currently rank 57th in effective field goal percentage (0.548), while the Bison are 304th in effective field goal percentage allowed (0.546). The Mavericks should have the edge on that end of the court.
