Northeastern Huskies – Hofstra Pride Preview – 02.21.2016

The Hofstra Pride (19-8) bring the regular season to an end at Mack Sports Complex as they host the Northeastern Huskies (15-13). The game begins at 2:00 pm ET on Sunday, Feb. 21 and will air on NBS.

The Pride edged Towson 84-82 on Thursday. Juan’ya Green was a key piece, recording his seventh double-double this season with 21 points and 10 assists. The Huskies, meanwhile, are coming off a 95-94 win over James Madison on Thursday. Quincy Ford led the game in scoring with 36 points on 10-for-26 shooting.

Rokas Gustys has been playing at a high level over the last five games for the Pride. During that stretch, he has averaged 16.2 points, 17.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 0.6 steals, and 2.4 blocks.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Pride won the first game 96-92. Gustys recorded a double-double with 23 points and 20 rebounds.

The Pride come into this game 19-8 Straight Up (SU) and 10-13-1 Against The Spread (ATS). Over their last 10 games, they have only managed a record of 3-7 ATS. The Pride have one of the most prolific offenses in the entire nation, averaging 80.4 points per game.
