It will be a battle between Southland opponents when the Southeastern Louisiana Lions (9-19) welcome the Northwestern State Demons (8-17) to University Center. The game starts at 8:00 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 29.
The Lions easily got past Central Arkansas 75-56 on Saturday. Zay Jackson led all scorers on the team with 21 points on 9-for-15 shooting. The Demons, meanwhile, are coming off an 81-67 win over Nicholls on Monday. Zeek Woodley shot 9 for 17 and led in scoring with 23 points.
Over the last five games, Sabri Thompson has been on a tear for the Demons. During that stretch, he has averaged 17.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.8 blocks, and 2.8 three-pointers.
This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Demons won the first game 91-76. Ishmael Lane played a huge role in the victory by recording a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds.
