Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Miami Hurricanes ATS Prediction

The Fighting Irish come in on a high note after beating the Boston College Eagles in their last game, 79-73. One of Notre Dame’s largest strengths was their ability to convert at the free throw line. They were 15-18 (83.3 percent), while the Eagles were just 4-8 (50.0 percent). Notre Dame was led by John Mooney, who contributed 15 points and 13 rebounds.

The Cavaliers had more offensive rebounds (12 vs. five), defensive rebounds (30 vs. 19) and total rebounds (42 vs. 24). Miami’s Chris Lykes put together a good game, leading both teams in scoring with 16 points on 5-for-13 shooting.

Notre Dame could have a tough time creating turnovers. Miami ranks 89th in the nation at avoiding errors (turnover percentage of 17.6 percent), while Notre Dame forces the 36th-fewest turnovers (16.4 percent).

After the Hurricanes won the lone game against the Fighting Irish last season, 77-74, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. Miami had a much better turnover percentage (11.1 vs. 16.9). Notre Dame, meanwhile, did a terrific job of making free throws (11-14; 78.6 percent).
