Oakland Golden Grizzlies – Wright State Raiders Preview – 02.15.2016

The Oakland Golden Grizzlies (18-9) and the Horizon’s top-ranked offense visit Wright State to take on the Raiders (16-11) and the fifth-ranked defense in the conference. The game begins at 5:00 pm ET on Monday, Feb. 15 and will air on ESU and ES3.

The Raiders edged Valparaiso 61-59 on Saturday. Joe Thomasson was the team’s leading scorer with 14 points on 5-for-6 shooting. The Golden Grizzlies, meanwhile, are coming off a 111-93 win against Green Bay on Saturday. Kahlil Felder led the game in scoring with 28 points on 10-for-18 shooting.

Jalen Hayes has been on a tear over the last five games for the Golden Grizzlies, averaging 15.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, 1.0 assist, and 1.0 steal.

It’s a matchup of two different tempos, as the fast-paced Golden Grizzlies (ranked 13th in the nation in possessions per game) square off against the methodical Raiders (273rd).

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Golden Grizzlies won the first game 89-63. Felder was a top performer in the victory with 33 points, two rebounds, six assists, five steals, and three three-pointers.
