Oklahoma Sooners – Texas Longhorns Preview – 02.27.2016

The No. 25-ranked Texas Longhorns (18-10) and the No. 3-ranked Oklahoma Sooners (22-5) close out the regular season when they face off at Frank Erwin Special Events Center. Action begins at 2:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27 and will air on CBS.

The Longhorns enter this game hoping for similar success after edging Kansas State 71-70 the last time they played. Isaiah Taylor was the team’s leading scorer with 19 points on 5-for-8 shooting. The Sooners, meanwhile, are coming off a 71-49 win against Oklahoma State in their last game. Ryan Spangler had a good performance and claimed his 11th double-double of the season, accumulating 26 points and 14 rebounds.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Sooners winning the first matchup 63-60. Buddy Hield was a standout player in the game, producing 27 points, five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and three three-pointers.

The Longhorns have gone 18-10 Straight Up (SU) and 14-13 Against The Spread (ATS). Not making mistakes with the ball is a staple of the Texas offense, which averages just 10.5 turnovers per game.
