The New York Excelsior have been dominant throughout all three stages of the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. They have finished 9-1 in each stage and have a commanding five-game lead in the overall standings too. Coming into Stage 4 of the Overwatch League, they are seen as the team to beat.

New York Excelsior +137 – After winning the last two Overwatch League stages, the NYXL are looking to make it three for three. While all the other top teams have had at least one bad stage, the NYXL have been consistently good. They have the best support duo in the league by a mile and Saebyeolbe is arguably the best Tracer in the league. At this point, you can make a good argument that NYXL should be the odds-on favorite.
Boston Uprising +350 – The Uprising continue to be the most surprising team in the league. No one expected much from this Boston roster, but they have a fantastic coaching staff who continue to come out with great strategies every week. Their tank play has been very good with Gamsu ranking as one of the best in the league. Boston went 10-0 in Stage 3 and is currently second in the overall standings.
London Spitfire +400 – Before Stage 3, London was seen as the second-best team in the Overwatch League. However, this last stage was a disappointment. The Spitfire went 5-5 and missed out on the playoffs. This team is very talented and should return to form in Stage 4. London was a bit unlucky in some regards and that luck should even out this stage.
Los Angeles Valiant +1000 – The Valiant bounced back from a poor Stage 2 to make the Stage 3 Playoffs. They were no match for NYXL in their playoff bout, but this is a team on the rise. Acquiring Custa from the Dallas Fuel in early April really shored up some of the issues the Valiant had and they should continue to improve in Stage 4.
Los Angeles Gladiators +1300 – LA’s other team continues to improve as well. The Gladiators have improved on their record in each split and finally made the playoffs in Stage 3. Fissure has been the star of the team since he came over from London. His play as the team’s main tank has really helped set up team fights and his ultimate usage has been superb.
Seoul Dynasty +1400 – The Dynasty continue to be an enigma. Seoul was the favorite to win the Overwatch League back in January, but this team has yet to make the playoffs. The Dynasty have been competitive in every stage, yet they are frustratingly inconsistent from match to match. The coaching staff has juggled players way too much and there does not seem to be a lot of natural chemistry between the players. Still, with the talent on the roster, 14-1 is worth a bet.
Philadelphia Fusion +1500 – There is a ton of DPS talent on the Fusion. The problem has been everything else. Philadelphia has not gotten consistently solid play from either their tanks or their supports. That has prevented them from challenging the upper echelon teams in the Overwatch League. If play from either position improves, this team could surprise and make the playoffs.
San Francisco Shock +1500 – Now that their lineup is complete, the Shock are starting to make waves. While they are still a longshot to make the overall playoffs, they could surprise and challenge for a spot in the Stage 4 Playoffs. Bringing aboard Architect was not met with the same fanfare as other additions, but he has been a huge help to San Francisco. He is still just a situational starter at this point, yet he allows his teammates to be freed up in order to make plays.
Houston Outlaws +2000 – The Outlaws are the last of the teams with a real shot to make the postseason. Houston has been able to pull off a number of surprising victories this year, but they had a disappointing performance in Stage 3. This team could be primed for a big turnaround though and can’t be counted out.
Florida Mayhem +6600 – Some of their acquisitions have made the Mayhem a stronger team, but they still don’t have a real chance of making the playoffs. Florida has tested some of the better teams in the league, and you can’t just assume a victory against them. However, there is a clear talent gap between them and the nine teams above them.
Dallas Fuel +8000 – Plain and simple, the Fuel have given up on the season. Their last few performances in Stage 3 were pretty poor, and they looked like they were just going through the motions. This team has been racked by internal turmoil all year long. Expect some major changes in the offseason.
Shanghai Dragons +10000 – The goal for Shanghai is simple. Win one match. The Dragons are winless through three stages and are desperately trying to avoid going 0-40. Their best chance to win will be on Wednesday when they face Dallas. If they lose that one, they may just go the entire season without a single win.
