While thinking back to my humble beginnings here at Get More Sports, Lamar Jackson in purple and dominating opponents will always be one of the images of association I make.
Last night during his Thursday Night Football dismantling of the Jets, Tom Brady was watching. Then Brady issued a challenge (in jest, we hope) for Jackson to race him in a 40-yard dash. The 42-year old quarterback asked on a tweet who will buy the pay-per-view spectacular?
Me vs Lamar, 40 Yard Dash on natural grass but he has to wear rollerblades. Who’s buying the PPV?

Even with the caveat that Jackson must wear rollerbladers, he responded following his record game against the Jets:

It’s nice to see Brady embracing the humor with who he probably feels is the future of the position. Furthermore, this would have been like Johnny Unitas in his final days issuing some sort of foot race challenge to Randall Cunningham or another talent that was thought to be game-changing and of a different type of make-up as a player.
My first post on Jackson was about his manhandling of Bill Belichick and the Patriots for their first loss. Next, Deshaun Watson called him the MVP when he signed his jersey after the Ravens throttled the Texans. Then his performance on Monday Night Football in Los Angeles was one I will never forget.
Indeed, the fastest quarterback in Madden history may need his own wing of Get More Sports sometime soon. He’s that good. Give us more, Lamar. And yes, we will order the pay per view.
