Pepperdine Waves – Loyola Marymount Lions Preview – 02.27.2016

It will be a battle between West Coast opponents when the Loyola Marymount Lions (12-16) welcome the Pepperdine Waves (17-11) to Albert Gersten Pavilion. Action starts at 4:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Lions beat San Francisco 100-87 in their last matchup. Steven Haney was the team’s leading scorer with 25 points on 7-for-15 shooting. The Waves, meanwhile, are coming off an 88-76 win over Santa Clara in their last game. Lamond Murray Jr. shot 10 for 19 and led in scoring with 25 points.

Stacy Davis has been hot for the Waves, averaging 18.2 points, 10.0 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.8 three-pointers over the past five games.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams, with the Waves winning the first matchup 68-65. Adom Jacko had a standout performance with 21 points and nine rebounds in the loss.
