Philadelphia is playing the role of underdog and is currently getting 10 points in this NFC game. The Eagles are also receiving +310 moneyline odds while the Rams are -440. Should one team finds paydirt early on it’ll create a solid live betting opportunity. Vegas has set the over/under (O/U) at 54 points.

Sharp bettors tend to be siding with both the Rams and the over. The opening line was initially placed at -8 and the game’s total was originally only 52.

The hapless Eagles are 4-9 against the spread (ATS) and are down 5.7 units so far in 2018. They’ve been a good under bet and have recorded an O/U mark of 5-8. The Rams have been a nice surprise for moneyline bettors this season, gaining 8.1 units. They’re 5-6-2 ATS and have an O/U record of 6-7.

The Eagles have gone 6-7 straight up (SU) in 2018 while the Rams are 11-2 SU.

When these two franchises met last year, Philadelphia got the victory 43-35.

The Eagles are on the rebound after a 29-23 loss to Dallas last week where Carson Wentz completed 22-of-32 passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Josh Adams (36 yards on seven rush attempts) led the ground attack. Alshon Jeffery (six receptions, 50 yards, one TD) and Zach Ertz (five catches, 38 yards) shared the receiving duties in the defeat.

In Week 14, Chicago got the victory against this Los Angeles crew by a score of 15-6. Jared Goff completed 20-of-44 passes for 180 yards and four interceptions. Todd Gurley II (28 rushing yards on 11 attempts) led the running game as Robert Woods (seven receptions, 61 yards) and Gerald Everett (four catches, 29 yards) led the pass-catching attack in the loss.

Philadelphia has run the ball on 39.2 percent of its offensive possessions this year while Los Angeles has an overall rush percentage of 43.7 percent. The Eagles have run for 98 yards per game and have nine touchdowns on the ground this year. The Rams are logging 133 rushing yards per game and have 17 total rush TDs.

If the results so far this season can translate to this game, then it seems like the Rams should own the edge along both the offensive and defensive fronts. Their offensive line has yielded only 29 sacks while the D-line has registered 34 sacks. The Eagles O-line has given up 36 sacks and their defense has logged only 34 sacks.

The Eagles offensive scheme has averaged 272 yards in the air overall and has 22 passing scores so far. The Rams have produced 304 pass yards per outing and have 27 total pass TDs.

Defensively, Philadelphia has let opponents run for an average of 107 yards and throw for 296 yards per game. The Los Angeles D has given up 259.4 yards per game to opposing passers and 124.2 yards per game to opposing runners. Both teams allow similar adjusted net yards per pass attempt (ANY/A) to the opposition, as the Eagles have given up an ANY/A of 6.78 to opposing QBs, while the Rams are allowing an ANY/A of 6.35.

Offensively, Wentz is up to 2,768 passing yards this season, and has completed 70 percent of his 362 attempts with 19 passing scores and only six interceptions. He has a 6.81 adjusted net yards per pass attempt, including 7.99 over the last two games.

We expect the Philadelphia offense to mix it up in this one. Josh Adams (327 rushing yards, two rush TDs on the year), Zach Ertz (933 receiving yards, six receiving TDs) and Nelson Agholor (516 receiving yards, one TD) have each played big roles recently.

Jared Goff has completed 278-of-425 passes for 3,727 yards, 26 TDs and 10 INTs for Los Angeles. His ANY/A sits at 8.02 for the year and 1.77 over his last two games.

As a trio, Todd Gurley II, Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks have collectively accounted for 446 yards from scrimmage and three touchdowns the last couple of outings.
