When your luck has got you down, sometimes you’ve just got to change something. That’s what the Philadelphia Phillies tried on Monday, anyway. With their team mired in a seven-game losing streak, the Phillies’ official team Twitter account changed its avatar to a four-leaf clover (complete with Phillies logo, of course) and its profile picture to heads-up pennies. It worked — like a charm, you might say — as Philly scored 13 runs and snapped the skid. Elsewhere, the only streak the Rays wanted to break was the one where they’d been playing on every day this month. A day off never hurt anybody.
Here’s guessing that profile pic isn’t changing until another loss. Sometimes you’ve got to pat yourself on the back for a good idea.

This is cool. The Cubs’ Jason Heyward hears fans singing Happy Birthday and throws them a ball. He misses the mark, but the fans pass it down until the birthday girl gets her special gift.
Always cool to see a player and fans collaborate. @Cubs outfielder #jasonheyward throws a ball into the stands as a nice little gift for a fan having a birthday. pic.twitter.com/JPhgfhfzaf

Which athlete would you have most like to seen have a healthy career? It’s hard not to pick Bo Jackson.
This is why Bo Jackson is trending. Once saw him break a bat on a foul ball when he was with the Royals, and the barrel of the bat nearly flew out of the 3B upper deck of Tiger Stadium. https://t.co/CgIizfd0Sv
