Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors Betting Prediction

In the Suns’ last game, they were defeated by the Houston Rockets, 104-103. Getting to the charity stripe was one of Houston’s biggest strengths. They made 29 trips to the line, while Phoenix went just 13 times. Phoenix’s Tyler Ulis had a solid outing, recording 16 points, 12 assists and six rebounds.

The Warriors were victorious over the Sacramento Kings in their last matchup, 112-96. The Warriors forced 15 turnovers and had a free throw rate of 0.253 (above their season average of 0.197). Kevin Durant was the top scorer from either team with 27 points on 8-for-16 shooting.

The high-octane offense of Golden State will face off against the porous defense of Phoenix. The Warriors currently rank second in offensive efficiency, while the Suns are 30th in defensive efficiency. The Warriors should have the edge on that side of the ball.

Phoenix comes into the game with records of 19-58 straight up (SU) and 34-41-2 against the spread (ATS). Games involving the Suns have finished under the total 51.9 percent of the time.

Golden State is 55-21 SU, but they are just 30-42-3 ATS. Just over half of Warriors games have also finished under the total.

Both teams have had a player step their game up over their last five games. Josh Jackson (18.2 points, 5.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 2.0 steals) has been fantastic for the Suns while Quinn Cook (18.2 points and 5.8 assists) has made great contributions to the Warriors.

The Warriors have emerged victorious in both contests against the Suns this year, including a 15-point victory the last time these teams met. Golden State covered as a 5.5-point favorite and the game finished with a total of 233 points, which was 18 points above the projected point total of 215 points. The Warriors had a much better turnover percentage (10.6 vs. 16.7) and had a better effective field goal percentage (0.595 vs. 0.543). Jackson was the top overall scorer in the game with 36 points.
