Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul was released from a South Florida hospital Friday after getting banged up in a car accident Monday. The extent of Pierre-Paul’s injuries were not released, but Bucs general manager Jason Licht said the team has contacted JPP and their staff will evaluate him soon. Last year, Pierre-Paul led Tampa Bay with 12.5 sacks.

No fifth-year option for Darron Lee
After replacing him in the starting linebacker group with free agent acquisition C.J. Mosely, the New York Jets have declined the fifth-year option on Darron Lee’s rookie contract. Lee will now become a free agent after the 2019 season. The Jets have been shopping Lee all offseason and he currently counts $3.25 million against their salary cap. Last year Lee recorded 74 tackles, five for a loss, five passes defended, three interceptions, and one defensive touchdown.
Jets won’t be picking up Darron Lee’s 5th-year option (~$10M in 2020), but he could have a role in Greg Williams’ D this yr. He was decent in coverage in ‘18. Don’t rule out a trade in summer. Otherwise, his departure in free agency will help toward getting 2021 compensatory pick

Trent Brown slotted at right tackle for Raiders
In spite of signing a four-year, $66 million contract as a free agent, offensive tackle Trent Brown won’t unseat second-year Kolton Miller at left tackle for the Oakland Raiders. Instead, the team plans on plugging Brown in at right tackle despite his hefty salary. Brown is the highest paid offensive tackle in history and played left tackle for the Super Bowl Champion New England Patriots in 2018.
Trent Brown will play right tackle for the #Raiders, Jon Gruden says at his press conference. Kolton Miller on the left side. That's a lot of money to pay a right tackle but Brown will see his share of good pass rushers on that side, such as Von Miller twice a year.
