Chad Bettis (4-5, 5.58 ERA) and Jeff Locke (5-3, 4.28 ERA) are on the hill in the first of a one-game series between the Colorado Rockies (27-32) and the Pittsburgh Pirates (32-27) at Coors Field. Action begins at 5:10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jun. 9 and can be seen on RTPT and RTRM.

Bettis pitched 5.0 innings in his last outing, surrendering four runs, striking out three and walking one in a 4-3 defeat to the Padres. Locke went 7.0 innings, surrendering three runs and striking out two in an 8-7 win over the Angels in his most recent start. Gregory Polanco (.308, 40 Rs, 9 HRs, 39 RBIs, 8 SBs) has been successful at the plate for the Pirates, going 3 for 5 yesterday with one run, one RBI, and one stolen base.

Notes

The Rockies were able to pitch a shutout in last game’s win, bringing their total to five this season. Their next opponent, Pittsburgh, has not been shut out this season.
