Players To Watch: ACC Tournament

As the college basketball world prepares for March Madness, we here at GetMoreSports.com will be featuring a handful of players from each conference to keep an eye on as we get closer and closer to the Final Four. First up, our Conference Tournament series.

Conference tournaments are fully underway now, and its time for the big boys to get started. Up first is the ACC where some of the nation’s top-ranked teams will battle it out in Greensboro.

As a league full of high-profile programs and Hall of Fame coaches, it’s only fitting that a handful of players share the spotlight.

London Perrantes, Virginia: Perrantes will be leaned on especially hard with Justin Anderson likely sidelined for the majority of the ACC Tournament after a run-in with appendicitis. The sophomore point guard will need to up his scoring, while not missing a beat with his ability to get others involved.

Tyus Jones, Duke: After dropping 24 points against rival North Carolina, it became apparent that Duke is a clear threat to Kentucky when he plays well. The Blue Devils need him to continue on with that momentum in the ACC Tournament.

Jerian Grant, Notre Dame: Remember when we couldn’t stop talking about Grant near the mid-point of conference play? Well, he’s still that good, and the Irish need him to step up his game even more if they want a chance to topple Duke and others, en route to a tournament title.

Wayne Blackshear, Louisville: When Blackshear plays up to his talent level, Louisville is a much more dynamic offensive unit. Without him, Terry Rozier is all alone on the perimeter and Montrezl Harrell is still forced to do too much outside his comfort zone. The Cardinals need Blackshear to step up and find some consistency.
