This weekend is packed with boxing action, and the CBS Network will be airing another Premier Boxing Champions promotion to cap it off. The event will air live from Hidalgo, Texas and features a main event between super lightweights Omar Figueroa Jr and Ricky Burns. The match signals a jump in weight class for Figueroa, who was a world champion at lightweight. Burns is a former long-time world champion who is attempting to stay relevant on the world scene and is taking his first fight out of the United Kingdom after more than 40 fights overall.

The other feature match has the WBA Bantamweight world title on the line between Tomoki Kameda (31-0) and Jamie McDonnell (25-2-1). Kameda is part of a group of brothers that left Japan and relocated to pursue their boxing careers. This was very controversial in Japan, but the trio of brothers signed with Al Haymon and have bought their world championship pedigree to the U.S. Tomoki may be the most talented of the trio, though he was flat in his last outing, in Chicago against Alejandro Hernandez (28-10-2) where he squeaked by with a split decision.
The anticipated showdown between Austin Trout and Anthony Mundine was postponed, as Mundine has a ruptured eardrum and cannot fight. There is no word yet on when the fight could be rescheduled, but 20-3 Luis Galarza has stepped in and will face Trout.
