Premier League Daily Fantasy League Lineup For Saturday: Look For Big Day From Lukaku

We need Lukaku to shine for Everton this weekend.

With another international break right around the corner, this week represents one more chance to cash in when it comes to the DraftKings Premier League Daily Fantasy Leagues contests. There’s a full slate for Saturday’s action, so here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings contests.

GK: Asmir Begovic, Chelsea

Salary: $3,600

Thibaut Courtois remains sidelined until at least December. The Blues have reportedly made calls about potentially finding another goalkeeper but for now, they will continue to roll with Begovic. Chelsea has had some disappointing results to this point but Begovic has actually performed well as an individual and with the Blues in a desperate spot heading into this weekend’s matchup with Stoke City, we feel confident that Chelsea’s keeper could have a good shot at a clean sheet win.

D: Cesar Azpilicueta, Chelsea

Salary: $3,400

The desperation the Blues will approach their game against Stoke City with should translate in to one of their better efforts of the season as they simply can’t afford to fall any further down the table. Azpilicueta has been among their most consistent defenders, so we have no problem rolling the dice on him here in this spot.

D: Marcos Rojo, Manchester United

Salary: $3,000

Manchester United is undefeated over its last three games and should be able to extend that run on Saturday against West Brom. Rojo is another consistent defender option available at a very reasonable price so it makes sense to plug him in here.

D: Christian Fuchs, Leicester

Salary: $2,300

Leicester is undefeated in its last four – including three wins – and it is about time they get a little more credit as a team that looks like they are the real deal. Watford shouldn’t give them much of a scare this weekend and Fuchs is very reasonably priced for a third defender.

M: Marc Albrighton, Leicester

Salary: $5,600

Riyad Mahrez stole the show for Leicester last week but he is almost $2K more expensive than Albrighton, who is still a strong option at a solid price. Leicester should be able to score at least a couple of goals against Watford and Albrighton should be in the mix as one of their key playmakers in the midfield.

M: Willian, Chelsea

Salary: $5,000

One of the most important things to remember about Chelsea’s recent struggles is that they have driven the price down when it comes to some of their top fantasy options. That means there’s an opportunity to invest early before they finally do break out. Willian is undoubtedly one of those players that is undervalued based on the Blues’ rough start, so lock him in as one of the better bargain plays of the week.

M: Oscar, Chelsea

Salary: $5,100

Oscar probably shouldn’t be priced higher than Willian but he has the potential to produce. We are banking on the Blues breaking through with one of their best performances of the year in this game.

F: Jamie Vardy, Leicester

Salary: $7,200

Leicester might still not get the credit it deserves for its incredible start but they certainly have to be respected with Vardy in particular performing at an outstanding level to start the season. Vardy has already scored 11 goals in the Premier League this season and the fact that he is still available at a very reasonable $7,200 is what attracts us. Starting him won’t force us to compromise other positions in our lineup and that makes him that much more of a reason for us to play him.

F: Romelu Lukaku, Everton

Salary: $7,200

Everton’s top striker option has become a much more complete forward this season and he has already produced an impressive six goals and four assists through 11 games. Everton will need Lukaku at his best when they clash with West Ham United this weekend and there is a good chance he delivers another big performance.

FLEX: Jermain Defoe, Sunderland

Salary: $4,500

With just over $7K left to spend on our FLEX positions, it is all about finding value players with high potential. Defoe certainly fits that criteria. Defoe has been held to just three goals in nine games so far this year but he started against Everton and produced five shots and a goal. We are hoping he can duplicate that performance this weekend.

FLEX: John Terry, Chelsea

Salary: $2,800

There isn’t much money left over to spend on forwards or midfielders but Terry is a quality defender option that will play big minutes. As we have already mentioned, Chelsea should have a favorable matchup on Saturday.
