Premier League Daily Fantasy Lineup: Man City Stars Lead Off Our Saturday Picks

Otamendi will be one of our choices on defense this week.

The Premier League season resumes this weekend following the international break with a full slate of games for Saturday morning. With seven games on the schedule, there will undoubtedly be plenty of options to choose from including some sneaky value bargain players that every manager should consider worth having in their lineup. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Saturday’s DraftKings Premier League Daily Fantasy Leagues.

GK: Joe Hart, Manchester City

Salary: $3,700

Manchester City has looked absolutely dominant at times this season but even when things haven’t gone as planned, they have managed to stick around and look pretty good. Now they have had a full two weeks to prepare for a tough opponent in Liverpool and while the Reds have for the most part looked good since Brendan Rodgers was sacked, they have struggled with their consistency up front. That could very well continue this week against City so plug in Hart as your starting goalkeeper at a reasonable price as arguably the top option on the board.

D: Nicolas Otamendi, Manchester City

Salary: $3,200

Otamendi isn’t the most expensive City defender but he has been very effective and is worth taking a chance on in this matchup against Liverpool this weekend.

D: Gary Cahill, Chelsea

Salary: $2,700

Chelsea’s struggles have been one of the biggest surprises of the season but they have had a full two weeks to recover from their latest blow. They will have another chance to get back on track versus Norwich on Saturday. Cahill has been consistent on the back end for the Blues and should be a strong play at a decent price tag.

D: Adam Smith, Bournemouth

Salary: $2,300

Consistency will be key for Bournemouth the rest of the way and while they have labored at times in their own end, Smith’s price is too good to overlook. We might be taking a chance here but the money we save plugging in Smith will be important to use at the forward positions later on.

M: Marc Albrighton, Leicester City

Salary: $6,000

Leicester City has been very good early on and the best part about their success has been that two of their key players have remained available at a very reasonable price even though they have dominated early on. Albrighton is one of those players and we love having him available to plug in at just $6K for this weekend.

M: Willian, Chelsea

Salary: $5,500

Even though Chelsea has been challenged early on, Willian has been very good for them all year. He has been one of their lone bright spots in terms of fantasy production. The fact that he is available at under $6K makes him even more attractive as we continue to expect Chelsea to break through eventually.

M: Stephane Sessegnon, West Brom

Salary: $3,300

West Brom will certainly have its hands full against Arsenal but Sessegnon is a decent sleeper option. He comes in at a very reasonable price as a midfielder that will be relied on for corner kicks and crosses in to the box. Arsenal is a high-scoring team but they aren’t the most complete side at their own end of the pitch and could be vulnerable.

F: Jamie Vardy, Leicester City

Salary: $7,600

It’s about time that DraftKings adjusted Vardy’s price tag to a reasonable number and while he is no longer the prime value play, there is no reason not to have the star of this Premier League season in your lineup at a very reasonable $7.6K. Vardy has registered a league-high 12 goals already this season and should be a lock in every DraftKings lineup for Saturday’s action.

F: Olivier Giroud, Arsenal

Salary: $6,500

A quick scan of the price tags for this weekend reveals that Giroud may have taken over as the best value bargain play at the forward position at just $6.5K. Theo Walcott is expected to miss this week’s game and while Alexis Sanchez is still Arsenal’s most dangerous weapon, he is also the highest-priced forward on the board for this weekend at a ridiculous $8.1K. Giroud started slow but he has scored four goals in the Gunners’ last six league matches and is an excellent option matched up versus West Brom this weekend.

FLEX: Ayoze Perez, Newcastle

Salary: $5,300

Perez is another forward that offers sneaky good value heading in to this weekend’s home matchup against Leicester City. There is no denying that Perez looked awful at times early in the season but he has found his form of late with three goals and two assists in his last six games. He has started each of those matches for Newcastle. Perez is still available at a very decent price and is the type of bargain forward that can really put this roster over the top on Saturday.

FLEX: Josh King, Bournemouth

Salary: $3,200

King isn’t a superstar fantasy forward by any means but he is the best option with the highest potential of the players that we still have enough cap space to afford. Don’t shy away from taking him as a low-risk, high-reward option for your final FLEX position.
