Doug Martin won’t escape Jon Gruden’s clutches that easily. After losing free agent running back Isaiah Crowell to an Achilles injury on Tuesday, the Oakland Raiders have re-signed free agent Doug Martin. Last year Martin rushed for 723 yards and four touchdowns for the Silver and Black. Martin will have to choose a new number for the 2019 season. The Raiders gave his old number, 28, to rookie Josh Jacobs.

Texans add Jahleel Addae to defensive backfield
After finishing 2018 ranked No. 28 in the league in pass defense, the Houston Texans had plenty of work to do. They’ve already added two safeties, Tashaun Gipson as a free agent and Justin Reid as a third round pick. Still not satisfied, the Texans have reportedly signed Jahleel Addae. Last year Addae finished with 75 tackles, a sack and an interception for the Los Angeles Chargers.

Redskins not picking up Josh Doctson’s fifth-year option
The bad news keeps coming for the underperformers from the 2016 NFL Draft Class. The Washington Redskins informed former first round pick Josh Doctson that they won’t pick up his fifth-year option. That means Doctson will be a free agent at the end of the 2019 season. Last year Doctson caught 44 passes for 532 yards and two touchdowns.
