A few days ago, it looked like we might have two sweeps in the NBA Conference Finals, but the Toronto Raptors have convincingly put an end to that talk. Toronto beat the Milwaukee Bucks, 120-102, on Tuesday night to even their best-of-seven series at two. The series shifts back to Milwaukee on Thursday. First, the NBA unveiled its All-Rookie teams — and lo and behold, the top five picks comprised the first team. Elsewhere, we continue to look ahead to Kevin Durant’s free agency, and the Blazers reward their coach after a nice season.
Kyle Lowry played the hero this time for the Raptors, who had a much easier time defending their home court than they did in Game 3. Now for trying to get that tricky road win.

One of the cool side stories to the Eastern Conference Finals has been the contributions of Fred Van Vleet, who stopped his slumping a day after his son was born. Coincidence?

The top five picks made up the All-Rookie team, which means no one screwed up their draft! OK, so Phoenix, you might have screwed up the draft, because Luka Doncic and Trae Young look pretty darn good.
The 2019 NBA All-Rookie team is made up of the 1st 5 picks in the 2018 NBA Draft:
– Deandre Ayton
– Marvin Bagley III
– Luka Doncic
– Jaren Jackson
– Trae YoungThe last time that happened was 1985:
– Hakeem Olajuwon
– Sam Bowie
– Michael Jordan
– Sam Perkins

Kevin Durant’s agent put to rest any rumors that KD has already decided he’s going to New York, or anywhere else.
“That is 100 percent undecided and I’m waiting on Kevin…He really doesn’t know and I really don’t know.”

Terry Stotts exceeded expectations with the Blazers this year, taking them to the No. 3 seed in the West and the conference finals. He got a contract extension to continue the good work.
