Kawhi Leonard won his first NBA title with San Antonio when they defeated the favored Miami Heat five years ago. Now, after helping the Toronto Raptors to beat the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors, Leonard became the first player in NBA history to win the Finals MVP Award in both the Eastern and Western conferences.

Thompson has torn ACL in left knee | ESPN

Raptors will celebrate NBA title with parade and rally on Monday | CP24
The city of Toronto is preparing for the big event after the Raptors won the NBA championship with a win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 6. Mayor John Tory is hoping that as many residents as possible can join the route. The parade will occur on Monday and the main event will take place at Nathan Phillips Square.

Although his career was frequently hampered by injuries and many said he would not make it in the NBA, Toronto Raptors guard Jeremy Lin became the first-ever Asian American to win the NBA Championship.
