Just as you think Russell Wilson has grabbed the lead in the NFL MVP race, think again. Indeed, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens rolled to a 45-6 victory over the Rams at the Coliseum in Los Angeles.
Therefore, who do think left the field on Monday Night Football to ‘M-V-P’ chants? Take a look at this video for the evidence.

Undeniably – every time I looked up – Jackson was doing something else sensational. While wearing the all-purple ‘Color Rush’ uniforms for the Ravens, Jackson accomplished some history.
- It was the first time a player threw five touchdown passes in a Monday Night Football debut, according to the Elias Sports Bureau research.
- Now at just 22 years old, he is the youngest player with multiple games of five touchdown passes in NFL history.
- Jackson is the first player 3,000 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards over his first two seasons in NFL history.
And honestly that’s just the beginning. In the first half alone, Jackson had over 80 yards rushing and threw three touchdowns. He’s the only player aside from Michael Vick to accomplish this in a game in history.
What we are trying to say is at least at the present, Jackson is the best talent on the field in the league. He’s so good that he actually outshines the accomplishments of the rest of his team. For instance, the Baltimore defense held the Rams to a helpless six points all night long.
While rendering his help as a footnote, remember that it was rumored a former coach wanted this guy at receiver when he entered the NFL. Also, he has other players he beats lobbying for his MVP case.
All of this began when Jackson pulled off the big dominating upset of the New England Patriots a few weeks ago. Still, you get the feeling that with Jackson; the best may be yet to come. It’s possible that he could carry the Ravens deep into the playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl. That would kick up ratings for the final Sunday of the year in football.
