Ravens News: Lamar Jackson Join Vick, Kaepernick with Historic Performance

To say Lamar Jackson had a big day would be an understatement. The Ravens quarterback went off for 236 passing yards and 152 rushing yards in Sunday’s 23-17 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. That performance was enough to put him in elite company, as Jackson joined Michael Vick and Colin Kaepernick as the only quarterbacks in the Super Bowl era to rush for 150 yards in a single game.

That wasn’t the only record the second-year phenom set, though. He also became the first QB ever in the Super Bowl era to pass for 200 yards and rush for 100 yards. Just to get an idea of how dominant he was on Sunday, he out-rushed the entire Bengals offense by 119 yards.

Sources says that’s pretty good.

The 22 year-old has really stepped his game up passing the ball as well, which was one of his biggest criticisms as a rookie. His 11 passing touchdowns are tied for second in the league and he has only thrown five interceptions. His 65.4% completion percentage is in the top half of starting quarterbacks and is .2% lower than Chief’s star QB Patrick Mahomes.

Not bad for a running back.
