With the season over, we finally arrive at our NCAA Champion Villanova Wildcats, looking at who they lost, who they return, and who they’re adding to the fold to figure out if there is a chance they could be a repeat champion next season. Our final Recruit and Reload is here for Jay Wright and company.
Recruit and Reload: Villanova Wildcats
Key Losses: Ryan Arcidiacono, Daniel Ochefu
Key Returners: Josh Hart (expected), Kris Jenkins, Phil Booth, Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges
Key Newcomers: Omari Spellman
Breakdown: Ah, to be a champion. Not only were the Wildcats a (probably undeservedly so) underestimated title winner, but it feels like a title winner that returns as much as Jay Wright does should probably be getting a lot more respect about their chances for next season. Plus, again, this is about the coolest thing any college coach has done, ever:

But back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Villanova returns their killer shot maker in Jenkins, the do everything on-ball or off-ball pest in Hart, as well as two young guards that can either start or come off the bench in Booth and Brunson. Add Bridges to that, a guy who I think is in for a monster jump from last season, and you’ve got so many pieces that should win the Big East once again and have you in the conversation for another Final Four.
Not to mentioned, Wright adds the five-star big man, Spellman, to replace his bruiser in the middle. The Wildcats are going to be a lot of fun to watch, again, next season.
