It was an odd Thanksgiving for Trevor Bauer, to say the least. Furthermore – in a story perfect for Black Friday – Cleveland dot com reports on what happened to Bauer’s vehicle on Thursday.
Check out this tweet:
Bauer’s $300,000 sports car was totaled when a tire fell off a semi-truck on a nearby Cincinnati highway, made its way across six lanes of traffic and smashed into the dealership where his 2016 McLaren 650S was stationed, writes the NY Post. https://t.co/EKWJUr4BzM

Then at least Bauer had this to say on his own twitter account:
“Yesterday, if you told me a semi truck would total my Mclaren, I would’ve believed you,” the 28-year-old tweeted. “If you told me it would happen like THIS? I would’ve said you’re out of your mind. If this isn’t @Mayhem I don’t know what is @Allstate.”
Equally important, no one was hurt. Also it’s great to see that Bauer can have a laugh at the misfortune. After all, he’s probably spending Black Friday just ordering a new Mclaren online or something.
Still, this is one of the most odd sports stories I can recall. Truly what are the odds of this happening?
Finally, there’s not a lot more to say other than this was a very odd story worth being at least noted on the annals of GMS.
We hope you are having a great day after Turkey Day, and will update you if any more of Bauer’s vehicles are wrecked by any of his other vehicles that fall off a semi truck.
