Respect the Hustle Podcast – Episode #10

This week on the Respect the Hustle Podcast, we have come to the portion of the college basketball season that it might be more helpful to simply avoid using the word “upset”, as at this point, it’s pretty much impossible to tell who is actually better than their competition anyway.

As both Kentucky and Duke fall out of the AP Top 25, it’s time for analyst William Whelan to break down which college basketball Blue Bloods actually have a chance to win the title, which ones are destined to suffer from “What If?” syndrome come April, and which ones are best setup for the future. Whelan also runs down a few recent results, like Iowa State’s big win over Oklahoma, that have impacted major conference rances and makes his picks for the week.
Blue Blood Spilt

The Wildcats and Blue Devils have plummeted from their spots among the CBB elite earlier in the season. Of course, Kentucky’s fall from grace has carried with it much more media coverage and vitriol, as is customary for John Calipari led teams. But what about Coach K and Duke? His dismissal of Syracuse in the hand-shake line following their home loss to the Orange was indicative of just how bad this season has been for him.
But how did we get here with both of them?

Elsewhere, Kansas continues to hang around in the AP top five. North Carolina seems to have found its groove. Indiana is surging in the Big 10 and UCLA has settled in the bottom half of the Pac-12.
Are we entering into an age where college basketball Blue Bloods mean less than ever before? Or is this a one season drop? Whelan breaks it all down in the Respect The Hustle Podcast

Somewhere between psychotic and iconic, William finds refuge in the sound of a leather ball bouncing on a wooden floor, preferably with a Burgundy in hand.
