During the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets tilt on Wednesday night, something may have happened for the first time in sports. Indeed, the elder Rivers was ejected for arguing with the official while his son, Rockets guard Austin Rivers, signaled for the ref to give his pops a technical foul.
Then it happened, and Austin had this to say about it:
“I did,” the Houston guard said, smiling, when asked if he enjoyed the two technical fouls on his father. “I knew it was coming. I could see it. I’ve seen that look before — many times. Once he starts blinking his eyes fast, and he starts [imitates Doc getting mad], that’s when I know he is about to level up. So I just started telling Tony to get him. They got him. He’s out of here.”
Of course, we have the footage of it for you. You think we would let you miss out on this in case you were doing something else when this epic moment took place? Not at Get More Sports.

Remember, we posted a video from our official Get More Sports YouTube channel that posed the question: is this the best Los Angeles Clippers roster ever? Right now, it’s the most entertaining Clippers team of the generation.
Obviously, the Rockets won the game 102 to 93 and sent the Clippers to a 7-4 record. But the result of the game took a back seat to the big moment in this one; as it so often does. Truly, how often do you see a father and son opposing one another, and the son gets the father a technical foul drawn?
Finally, in the spirit of upcoming Thanksgiving; Austin tweeted with a little more humor.
Welp…. thanksgiving is going to be weird….

Aren’t sports – and the way it unites a father and son – grand and dandy?
