Rodgers Practices Sword Fighting, Beckham Jr. Brings the Heat

Rodgers takes his samurai training to the next level.

Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers is pretty much the consensus best quarterback in the NFL these days. With Packers head coach Mike McCarthy handing over the play calling duties to offensive coordinator Tom Clements for the upcoming season, there’s no reason to believe that Rodgers will be quarterbacking a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the upcoming year. So it’s obvious what Rodgers should be doing in preparation of Green Bay’s upcoming training camp.

Actually, Rodgers is just hanging out with his girlfriend, Olivia Munn, as she trains for the movie X-Men: Apocalypse. Munn is playing Psyloche, a mutant super ninja, so sword work is actually a job requirement.

It doesn’t hurt that Rodgers is paying attention and learning something. Who knows where these skills might come in handy on the football field. I mean, Lynn Swann took ballet.

Odell Beckham Jr. is a pretty good athlete

It was a charity softball game to raise money for the St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital so you might expect the athletes and celebrities participating to take it easy.

Odell Beckham Jr. did not take it easy.

Instead, he fired what’s being called 90 m.p.h. fastballs overhanded at blonde models for strikes, because why the Hell wouldn’t you?

That might be an overstatement, but what isn’t an overstatement is you probably don’t want to invite Beckham Jr. to your charity dodge ball event or you’ll be searching the court for your teeth.

If EA decides to make a softball game, I guess they already know who to call for the cover.
