Saint Peter’s Peacocks at St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers Free Preview 12/15/18

The Saint Peter’s Peacocks (2-7) will try to end their five-game road losing streak in a matchup against the St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers (6-4) at Peter Aquilone Court. The game is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 15, 2018.

The last time the Peacocks played, they beat the Lafayette Leopards, 93-86. The Peacocks had a better turnover percentage (12.0 vs. 16.8) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (35.7 vs. 27.5). Saint Peter’s received a boost from Davauhnte Turner, who led the team in scoring with 25 points on 10-for-24 shooting.

The Terriers had no trouble getting past the Medgar Evers Cougars in their last contest, 92-42. The Terriers had a much better free throw rate (0.400 vs. 0.103) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (45.5 vs. 21.6). With 14 points and eight rebounds, Jalen Jordan had a solid game for St. Francis Brooklyn.

The Peacocks won the sole contest against the Terriers last season, 71-68. The Peacocks had a much better free throw rate (0.426 vs. 0.264) and had a much better turnover percentage (13.8 vs. 20.8).

It will be a matchup of conflicting tempos as the fast-breaking Terriers will look to push the more half-court-oriented Peacocks. Since the 2017-18 season, the Terriers rank 81st in possessions per game while the Peacocks are 225th.
