San Diego Padres – Tampa Bay Rays Preview – 08.16.2016

Blake Snell (3-5, 3.18 ERA) and Edwin Jackson (3-2, 4.19 ERA) take the hill in the second of a three-game series between the Tampa Bay Rays (48-69) and the San Diego Padres (50-68) at Tropicana Field. The Rays won the last game 8-2, and Tampa Bay leads the series 1-0. Action begins at 7:10 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Aug. 16 and can be seen on FSSD and SUN.

Snell pitched 1.2 innings in his most recent start, surrendering five runs (three unearned), striking out two and walking four in a 7-0 defeat to the Blue Jays. Jackson went 7.0 innings, surrendering zero runs, striking out seven and walking three in a 4-0 win over the Pirates in his last outing. Wil Myers (.276, 78 Rs, 23 HRs, 70 RBIs, 21 SBs) went 1 for 4 yesterday.
