San Diego State Aztecs – Wyoming Cowboys Preview – 02.24.2016

The San Diego State Aztecs (20-7) will travel to Arena-Auditorium to meet the Wyoming Cowboys (13-15) in their home finale. Action begins at 10:00 pm ET on Wednesday, Feb. 24 and can be seen on CCS.

The Cowboys enter this game hoping for similar success after dismantling Colorado State 84-66 on Saturday. Josh Adams was the game’s leading scorer with 37 points on 12-for-20 shooting. The Aztecs, meanwhile, are coming off a 78-56 win against San Jose State on Sunday. Malik Pope claimed his first double-double of the season with 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Over the last five games, Jason McManamen has taken his game to another level for the Cowboys, averaging 19.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 5.2 three-pointers.

Half-court execution will be of utmost importance when two of the nation’s slowest-paced teams square off. Wyoming ranks 298th in possessions per game (66.6), while San Diego State is 331st (65.4).
