With 5:28 left in the fourth quarter, Paraiso was dismissed after being called for “an act of aggression” and receiving a disqualifying foul. During a struggle for the ball, the veteran was captured elbowing Mapua’s Rence Nocum, which is a major charge.
The foul wasn’t immediately signaled during the play, but after reviewing the situation, the officials disqualified Paraiso from the contest. Sangalang, on the other hand, received two technical fouls throughout the game, the second of which occurred with only 13.8 seconds remaining.
