Saquon Barkley Makes a Bold Prediction and Each NFC Team’s Biggest QB Mistake

Second-year running back Saquon Barkley had some very high praise for rookie quarterback Daniel Jones today. Jones being taken with the No. 6 pick in this year’s draft was met with both laughter and derision, but Barkley has been quick to support the New York Giants’ newest quarterback. It seems unlikely that Jones will ever win two Super Bowls, but Eli Manning has done just that over an up and down career. Jones has a long way to go to prove that he belongs in the NFL.

The offseason is the time to make lists and create content. Over at NFL.com, they have been breaking down the best quarterbacks and biggest mistakes at that position for every team in the NFC. It is pretty humorous to see that in the NFC South, you can make a good argument that every team in the division currently has their best quarterback in franchise history. There’s no debate when it comes to Cam Newton, Drew Brees, and Matt Ryan, but when you consider the history of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, have they had a quarterback better than Jameis Winston?

Gerald McCoy is taking his time and trying to find the right team to play for in 2019. McCoy has been a coveted free agent since being released by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers two weeks ago. He has already met with Cleveland, Baltimore and Carolina, and he is expected to sign with one of those teams. McCoy has never been on a playoff team so making the postseason is a big factor.

Chad Kelly will be fighting to make the Indianapolis Colts roster during training camp. If he does make the team, he will be forced to sit out the first two games of the 2019 season because of a public intoxication incident last October. Kelly has had a lot of off-field issues over his collegiate and pro career, and he knows he can’t afford another slip-up.
