Southern Jaguars – Alcorn State Braves Preview – 02.27.2016

The Southern Jaguars (18-10), the Southwestern Athletic’s top scoring team, will match up with the Alcorn State Braves (13-13) at David L. Whitney Gymnasium. Action begins at 6:30 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The Braves are hoping to rebound after their 73-59 loss to Alabama State in their last matchup. DeAndre Davis was the game’s leading scorer with 26 points. The Jaguars, meanwhile, are feeling some disappointment after their 78-66 loss against Alabama A&M in their last game. Christopher Hyder played well for Southern, recording 15 points, one steal, and one assist.
