Episode 6 of the Sports Betting Tips podcast, with veteran NBA journalist Chris Sheridan and SiriusXM host Noah Coslov, is now available.
In this episode, Sheridan and Coslov discuss the latest Over/Under win total lines for the 2018-19 NBA season that became available on BetDSI Sportsbook a bit earlier this year than usual, which gives us something to work on. You can stream the podcast below.
Are the Pacers and the Hawks Already Money in the Pocket?
Chris Sheridan shared his wonderment with the over/under win total lines on the Indiana Pacers and the Atlanta Hawks, as he’s pretty sure that the bookies are wrong with their estimation.
“The Atlanta Hawks are at 26.5 which is extraordinary high, and I don’t see them winning more than a dozen games”, said Chris Sheridan. “The Pacers are at 41.5, and for a team that won 48 games last season, it’s a quite low estimation”.
Noah Coslov thinks Chris is spot on with Indiana. ” Last year, I didn’t think they are going to win 40 games, so why would they regress seven games, there’s no reason for that”, stated Noah. “It will be another year of Sabonis, Oladipo, and Myles Turner, and if you take a look at the Eastern Conference – the Cavaliers got worse, Miami is about the same, while there are a lot of teams that aren’t good at all. The Pacers picked Doug McDermott, Kyle O’Quinn, and Tyreke Evans in the offseason, and Lance Stephenson is the only guy that left the team.”
On the other side, the situation with the Hawks is not so clear. “With so many awful teams in the Eastern Conference, someone will have to win when they play against each other”, indicated Coslov. However, Chris Sheridan sounds confident about the under at 26.5 line, and Noah is not far away from Chris’ statement.
The Celtics Are Underestimated With All-Stars Coming Back
When it comes to the defending champions, Noah Coslov is backing the under on the Warriors at 68.5, assuming they will have a pretty similar regular season like the last one when they’ve won 58 games. The Warriors will miss DeMarcus Cousins probably until the All-Star, so practically the same team will try to win ten games more than the previous year.
The line at 57.5 on the Boston Celtics looks a little low for Sheridan, as Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward are both coming back, so the Celtics seem loaded with talented players. ”
I don’t see why the Celtics wouldn’t win 58 games next season”, stated Coslov, too. The Celtics were one win from the NBA Finals last year playing without Irving and Hayward.
The Sixers at 56.5 are a tricky wager, either you pick the over or the under, but the Rockets in the under at the identical 56.5 line could be a nice bet.
“The under means a ten-win drop for the Houston Rockets, and I think that is a real possibility. The Western Conference just got so much better, and with all the changes on the Rockets’ roster, I’ll take the under”, said Noah Coslov.
The Los Angeles Lakers are at 52.5, and Chris Sheridan’s advice is that the bettors shouldn’t wager against LeBron James. However, Noah is backing the under on the Lakers, as he sees a 49-win or a 50-win season, and LeBron should have a tough job in the West.
Coslov and Sheridan discussed more teams and lines, including the San Antonio Spurs, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Utah Jazz, and the Minnesota Timberwolves so you can stream the full episode by clicking the play audio button above and find out all Noah Coslov and Chris Sheridan’s picks.
