St. Louis Cardinals at Arizona Diamondbacks Betting Preview 07/02/18

The St. Louis Cardinals will head west to take on the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field. Fox Sports Arizona will showcase this NL matchup. The game is scheduled to get underway at 9:40 p.m. ET.

St. Louis Cardinals vs. Arizona Diamondbacks Odds

Oddsmakers have listed St. Louis (+125) as the underdog to Arizona (-135). Bettors can wager on the game’s total with odds sitting at +100 for over eight runs and -120 for under eight. Bettors can also wager on the game’s runline with the current odds sitting at Cardinals +1.5 runs (-170) and Diamondbacks -1.5 runs (+150).

The Cardinals are 42-40 SU and are 39-42 against the spread (ATS). They’ve lost 7.5 units for gamblers taking the moneyline and 5.0 units ATS. Outfielder David Peralta and first baseman Paul Goldschmidt have led the Diamondbacks’ hitters this year. Peralta is hitting .280/.346/.503 with 15 home runs, 44 RBIs and 37 runs scored, and Goldschmidt’s line sits at .265/.377/.523 with 18 homers, 44 RBIs and 57 runs.

In the other dugout, St. Louis’ pitching staff allowed 4.2 runs per game and its starters own a 3.50 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 8.07 K/9. The bullpen has an ERA of 4.14, along with a WHIP of 1.25 and a K/9 of 8.65.
