A champion will be crowned in Boston. It’s a do or die Game 7, and either the Boston Bruins or St. Louis Blues will end tonight celebrating with the Stanley Cup. Boston is looking to drink from Lord Stanley for the second time this decade, while St. Louis is out to sip some bubbly from the cup for the first time ever.

History is on Boston’s side coming into tonight’s Game 7. The home team is 12-4 all-time in Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals, and the Bruins have the best record of any team in the NHL when they have a chance to clinch the cup. However, the Blues have been road warriors throughout this postseason, with a 9-3 record away from home.
Should Matt Grzelcyk get cleared to play in Game 7, here's why Connor Clifton — not John Moore — should come out of the lineup. https://t.co/bFozXTRgtZ pic.twitter.com/AStW1Tszwo

The Boston Bruins are hoping that defenseman Matt Grzelcyk will be able to play tonight. He has been in the concussion protocol since taking a hit to the head in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals, but he is back to skating and was reportedly close to playing in Game 6.

Everyone is banged up at this time of the year, and three of St. Louis’ forwards did not participate in practice yesterday. Robert Thomas, Vladimir Tarasenko, and Tyler Bozak all played in Game 6, but Thomas only recently returned from injury.
#Pens general manager Jim Rutherford has found trading winger Phil Kessel to be a difficult proposition.

Virtually everyone assumed that Phil Kessel would be traded this offseason, but Penguins GM Jim Rutherford has said Pittsburgh might stand pat and hold on to Kessel after at least one proposed trade was nixed by the winger. However, it still seems very unlikely that Kessel will remain in the Steel City considering the team’s salary cap situation.
