A defensive battle can be expected from the Kennesaw State Owls (5-15) and Stetson Hatters (7-13) when two of the nation’s top scoring defenses battle it out at KSU Convocation Center. The game gets underway at 4:30 pm ET on Saturday, Jan. 23 and will air on ES3.
The Owls lost to FGCU 79-74 on Thursday. Kendrick Ray was the game’s high scorer with 31 points. The Hatters, meanwhile, are coming off a 92-87 loss to Lipscomb on Thursday. Divine Myles stood out for Stetson, registering 15 points, eight assists, and four rebounds.
Over the last five games, Ray has really been playing well for the Owls, averaging 22.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.0 steal, and 1.8 three-pointers.
The Owls may have trouble getting to the line in this one. They’re 274th in the nation in FTA rate (32.8), while Stetson is among the nation’s least foul-prone squads (yielding a FTA rate of just 26.1, 18th in the country).
