Super Bowl Odds: Who Will Get Upset In The Divisional Round?

Are Tom Brady and the Patriots at risk for an early exit in the playoffs when they take on the Ravens next weekend?

Super Bowl Odds: The NFL Divisional Playoffs take place next weekend with each of the four top seeds favored. Will any of the big four lose at home this weekend? Keep in mind that 2004 was the last time that all four top seeds all won. In 2005, 2007 and 2010 it was two top teams that lost and in 2008 it was three top seeds losing.

Let’s look at the chances that the Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots or Denver Broncos lose.

Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks are the defending Super Bowl champions and they are the current favorite in Super Bowl odds at 2-to-1. The team is playing at home on Saturday night as they host the Carolina Panthers. It seems very unlikely that the Seahawks will lose at home in this contest. The defense is simply too good and the offense should be able to put up enough points to win on Saturday.

Green Bay Packers

The Green Bay Packers are listed with odds of 6-to-1. They host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The Packers at home with Aaron Rodgers are almost a sure thing. You have to think the Packers will find a way to win on Sunday over Dallas.

New England Patriots

The Patriots are the second choice in Super Bowl odds at 3-to-1, but they might be the most vulnerable of the four top seeds. They face a Baltimore Ravens team that knows how to win in the playoffs. The Ravens have a Super Bowl winning quarterback in Joe Flacco and they have proven in the past they can win against the Patriots.

Many people like New England to go all the way and win the Super Bowl but it is worth noting that the Patriots have flopped in the playoffs for most of this decade. This should be an interesting game on Saturday afternoon.

Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos are 5-to-1 in Super Bowl odds. They could also be vulnerable, as they simply don’t look like a team that is going to run the table in the AFC. Peyton Manning has looked his age in recent games and the defense hasn’t been anything special. The Broncos will face a young, talented team in the Colts who have a very good quarterback in Andrew Luck. The Broncos are favored to beat the Colts on Sunday but you can definitely make a case for Indianapolis winning this game.
