According to Schumacher, Curtis has been among the NCAA’s top coaches for the previous ten years. “I’m overjoyed that he will continue working with our student-athletes to achieve the amazing achievements that his work with the sprint, hurdles, and relay group at Oregon has created. I have no doubt that Curtis will remain a superb leader for our program, and I am looking forward to working with him to maintain our progress.”
Taylor has won the USTFCCCA National Assistant Coach of the Year award three times, first in 2016 following the outdoor season and then in 2017 following both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Taylor has coached student-athletes from Oregon to eight individual NCAA championships, 26 Pac-12 championships, and multiple NCAA records. He has so far participated in 10 separate NCAA team championships.
