TCU Horned Frogs vs Kansas State Wildcats Odds

Hoping to extend their flawless record, the No. 2 Texas Christian Horned Frogs (5-0) travel to take on the Kansas State Wildcats (3-1). The country’s fourth-leading passer, Trevone Boykin (1,802 yards, 19 TDs), and second-leading receiver, Josh Doctson (722 yards, 8 TDs), will be featured in this game. It kicks off Saturday, Oct 10 at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be shown on FOX.

In last week’s matchup, Kansas State suffered a narrow defeat against Oklahoma State 36-34. Kody Cook had a solid performance, putting up 87 total yards and a score. He gained most of his yards on the ground, putting up 87 yards and a score. TCU is hoping for another victory like last week’s performance, when it easily got past Texas 50-7. KaVontae Turpin had a huge game for the Horned Frogs, grabbing six receptions for 138 yards and four TDs. Trevone Boykin had a great game as well, adding 332 yards and five TDs through the air.

The Horned Frogs take on the Wildcats as a seven-point favorite this week. The Over/Under (O/U) for the matchup is unavailable currently.

Sitting at 3-1 Straight Up (SU) and 2-2 Against The Spread (ATS), the Wildcats will look to improve heading into Week 6. The Wildcats average 3.9 yards each time they throw, sixth in the nation. The Wildcats are one of the best in the country at scoring in the fourth quarter, averaging 14 points.

In the other locker room, the Horned Frogs haven’t fared well ATS, sitting at 2-3. However, they are 5-0 SU this season. Chances are TCU will continue to rely on its passing attack, where its 401.2 passing yards per game ranks fourth in the nation. Shifting to the other side of the ball, it might be tough for the Wildcats to keep up with TCU’s defense in a few areas. TCU’s passing defense, only allowing 52.1% of passes to be completed, has a good chance of shutting down its competitor’s aerial attack. Kansas State needs to keep its intensity through the fourth quarter against the Horned Frogs, who average 9.8 points in the final 15 minutes of regulation. When TCU’s offense hits the field, they like to pick up the pace. With an average of 84.4, the team ranks fifth in the country for number of plays per game.

Predictions: SU Winner – Texas Christian, ATS Winner – Texas Christian
