The Atlanta Hawks and Golden State Warriors finally looked like No. 1 seeds with their respective Game 4 wins and with both teams leveling their best-of-seven series at 2-2, the excitement is set to ramp up heading in to Game 5. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for Wednesday’s DraftKings NBA Daily Fantasy Leagues.
PG: Stephen Curry, Golden State
Salary: $10,300
The Warriors needed the absolute best from their MVP in Memphis for Game 4 and he delivered with a game-high 33 points, eight rebounds, five assists, two steals and four three-point shots. Golden State cruised through the regular season and opening playoff round but consecutive losses to the Grizzlies had to serve as a wake-up call. The Warriors responded with a 17-point win in Game 4. Now they head back home in a series that has been reduced to a best-of-three and we expect Curry to be at his absolute best.
SG: Bradley Beal, Washington
Salary: $7,800
Beal has stepped up in a major way with John Wall out – including a Game 4 performance in which he stepped up with a game-high 34 points with seven assists, six rebounds, three steals, a block and four three-point shots. Beal took 25 shots in Game 4 when no other Wizards player took more than 14 and as long as he continues to get the most touches for Washington, he should be a lock at a bargain price for the SG position in Daily Fantasy Leagues.
SF: DeMarre Carroll, Atlanta
Salary: $6,600
Carroll had his worst fantasy game of the playoffs by far in Atlanta’s Game 4 win after he suffered a hip pointer but he is expected to be at full strength for Game 5. He should redeem himself for fantasy GM’s that go back to him on Wednesday. Carroll has averaged 17.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.1 three-point shots in these playoffs and it makes sense to go with him here at a decent price.
PF: Draymond Green, Golden State
Salary: $6,200
Green has been another breakout star in this year’s playoffs and he delivered for Golden State in a very important Game 4 win with 16 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, two blocks and three three-point shots. The Warriors need him to shine at both ends of the floor in Game 5 and next to Curry, he is the best option on this Golden State roster.
C: Al Horford, Atlanta
Salary: $6,600
Horford had a strong fantasy performance in Game 4 and there is a good chance the Hawks lean on him again in Game 5 after he posted 18 points, 10 rebounds, three steals, two assists and two blocks. Horford will put up decent point and rebound totals, but it’s his ability to contribute additional steals and blocks that make him the best center option for Wednesday.
G: Dennis Schroder, Atlanta
Salary: $4,000
Jeff Teague was the best player on the floor for Atlanta in Game 4 but Schroder provided a spark off the bench with 14 points, eight assists, four rebounds and two three-point shots in 29 minutes of action. The Hawks will rely on his scoring again in Game 5 at home and if he gets the same minutes, he will be an excellent value play at $4,000.
F: Jeff Green, Memphis
Salary: $4,000
The Grizzlies’ lack of scoring was a problem again in Game 4 when they turned to Green for 34 minutes of playing time. He was forced into the lineup after Tony Allen was exposed as a weakness at the offensive end. It might not take long for them to go back to Green again in Game 5 if they need a spark. Green had 12 points, three rebounds, three assists, a steal, a block and a three-point shot in Game 4 and considering his size and scoring ability, he should be a strong play at a very decent price.
FLEX: Ramon Sessions, Washington
Salary: $4,100
Sessions has filled the starting point guard role for Washington with Wall out and he had another strong performance in Game 4 when he recorded 13 points with five assists, four rebounds, a steal and a three-point shot. Sessions isn’t an elite guard by any stretch of the imagination but as long as the Wizards continue to turn to him for big minutes, he should be a decent play. He’s the best fit for us to plug in to the FLEX spot with the remaining salary we have available.
