The NBA regular season is winding down but there will still be plenty of opportunities down this final stretch to make some money playing in DraftKings daily fantasy leagues. That includes this Tuesday night with six games on the schedule including a key showdown between the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder that should be looked at closely. Here’s the best daily fantasy starting lineup for Tuesday:
PG: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City
It undoubtedly costs a ton of money to buy Westbrook as your starting point guard but considering his consistent production and the urgency the Thunder are playing with, it is definitely worth the investment. Westbrook has averaged nearly a triple-double over the past seven days with 29.7 points, 10.3 assists and 9.7 rebounds, which included an absolutely monstrous performance versus James Harden and the Houston Rockets on Sunday. He went off for 40 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists. It’s unreasonable to expect him to match his production from that last game but considering his overall body of work this year, another triple-double isn’t out of the question. For his career, he’s averaged 18.9 points per game, 6.8 assists and 4.8 rebounds against the Spurs but he’s on another level these days.
Oklahoma City needs to take care of business at home against the San Antonio Spurs as they try to continue to fend off the New Orleans Pelicans for that final playoff spot and Westbrook is the key.
SG: Tyreke Evans, New Orleans
Evans has played the best supporting guard role behind Anthony Davis during the Pelicans push to the postseason and considering his recent numbers, he should be a lock in your lineup for Tuesday night’s action. Evans has averaged 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 9.0 assists over his last two games and he is going to need an outstanding performance to help New Orleans hang around with the Golden State Warriors in an extremely tough matchup on Tuesday. Since the All-Star break, he’s poured in 16.7 points per game, 7.8 assists, 5.0 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 1.0 threes.
The Pelicans will be challenged as they look to keep the pressure on the Thunder in the pursuit of the eighth and final playoff seed. For New Orleans to have a chance they will need Evans to have a big game.
SF: Kawhi Leonard, San Antonio
It took a while for Leonard to get going but he has heated up over his past 10 games, averaging 19.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.8 steals. Leonard had 14 points, five rebounds and five assists the last time these teams met but the Thunder’s defense has gotten much worse since. With Enes Kanter on the floor, no team gives up more points per 100 possessions than the Thunder. With Westbrook pacing the Thunder offense, it will be on the Spurs young star to step up again with a strong fantasy performance on Tuesday.
PF: DeMarcus Cousins, Sacramento
There are underrated value plays like Tarick Black on the board if you need a discount here but this is about posting the best possible starting five and Cousins is in that category for Tuesday night. Sacramento’s top big man has recorded six straight double-doubles, including three games with at least 24 points and 20 rebounds. Minnesota won’t offer much in the way of resistance and that should mean another big game for Cousins against the Timberwolves.
C: Enes Kanter, Oklahoma
The aforementioned Kanter has absolutely thrived since his move to Oklahoma City and that should continue against the Spurs on Tuesday. The big man has averaged 25.0 points and 16.7 rebounds over the past seven days. This follows a stellar month of March where he averaged 17.7 points per outing, 11.2 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.6 steals and 0.5 blocks. Barring a major letdown, he will provide elite fantasy numbers at an excellent value price in daily leagues. It’s amazing to think about what the move to the Thunder has done in terms of helping Kanter’s fantasy value and he will need a big performance to help OKC get past San Antonio.
