Nothing beats a good old-fashioned rivalry. The Cubs and Cardinals have that, and it got kicked up another notch in the offseason when Cubs third baseman Kris Bryant declared that St. Louis was boring in the offseason. The Cubs’ Twitter account brought it up another notch with a well-placed acronym on Friday night, as Chicago made its first visit to the Gateway City. But the Cardinals had the last laugh — and the last boos — when they won on a walk-off. Elsewhere, Dwight Smith Jr. made his pops very proud, and the soon-to-be newest top draft pick got the Barry Bonds treatment.
Wonder how long the Cubs had that tweet saved up. And what restraint shown by the Cardinals, who waited until the victory was secure to clap back.

The Cubs joined in the booing chorus, which made things pretty fun.
St. Louis remembers when Kris Bryant called the city “boring” in the offseason, so the Cubs dugout decided to join the boos 😂

Rooney: The fans are welcoming Kris Bryant to boring St. Louis.
Shannon: Heh, heh, heh, heh. Boring? I don’t know where he’s been hanging out.

Meanwhile, former Major Leaguer Dwight Smith knows how special a grand slam in the big leagues is. It’s probably even more special to watch your son hit one.
Speaking of the Orioles, they have the top pick in next week’s MLB draft. The presumptive top pick is Oregon State catcher Adley Rutschman. Cincinnati intentionally walked him with the bases loaded on Friday night.
